Can you tell me about the features found within the Grand Cherokee lineup?
There are seven Grand Cherokee trim levels offered, each building on the previous with more features and capabilities. Standard features include a 7” touch screen, 6-speaker sound system, smartphone integration, 18” wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, and rear parking sensors. The higher level trims build on that with leather upholstery, a power liftgate, larger touchscreen, power-adjustable front seats, xenon headlights, heated rear seats, larger wheels, a 19-speaker sound system, a power-adjustable steering column, ventilated front seats, and so much more. The Trailhawk is equipped for tough terrain and off-roading while the SRT Trackhawk build off the most luxurious trims for high-performance driving.
What about the engine power?
In the 2021 model year, the Grand Cherokee lineup is powered by one of four engines. The standard engine, pumping out 295 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, is a 3.6L Pentastar V6. This engine is paired with standard RWD but 4WD is offered. The second engine offered, available for the Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit, is a 5.7L V8 that generates 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The next two engines power specific trim levels. A 6.4L V8 pumping out 470 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque powers the SRT while a supercharged 6.2L V8 is kicking out 707 hp and 645 lb-ft under the hood of the Trackhawk. All V8 engines come with standard 4WD and all engines are matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Could you talk about the Grand Cherokee’s safety features?
In the 2021 model year, Jeep outfits the Grand Cherokee lineup with a host of advanced safety features and equipment to protect those along for the ride and even the occupants of other vehicles on the road. Stand out features include Forward Collision Mitigation that warns the driver of an impending collision they may not see coming and applies the brakes if the driver does not intervene in time.
