There are four main Wrangler trims offered. The base Sport model is outfitted with fog lights, a 5-inch touchscreen, tow hooks, skid plates, manual door locks, and crank windows. The Sport S and Sahara trims add tinted windows, larger wheels, a bigger touchscreen, smartphone integration, automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Rubicon trim and its 392 sub-trim are the most well outfitted for regular off-roading with features like electronic locking front and rear differentials, rock rails, heavy-duty front and rear axles, all-terrain tires, unique Fox shock absorbers, a suspension lift, an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar, skid plates, and rock rails.
What kind of engine power does the 2021 Wrangler offer?
There are five engine options offered for the Wrangler as well as multiple 4x4 systems and transmission options. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that generates 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. With eTorque mild-hybrid technology, this engine boasts outstanding fuel economy. This engine can also be paired with one of two transmissions, a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic. The second engine option is a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder that produces 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The third engine offered is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that creates 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. The Rubicon trim can be powered by the available 6.4-liter V8 that generates 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The last engine is the new plug-in hybrid. Pairing the 4-cylinder engine with two electric motor generators and a battery pack, this engine creates 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.
