The original Grand Wagoneer has been off the market since 1991, but the 2022 iteration emerges as a brilliant example of modern innovation. The exterior is wide and commanding, with shining “Grand Wagoneer” badging visible from every angle. The front grille features an intricate diamond-cut pattern framed by slim horizontal LED headlights. Upon opening the doors, power-retractable side steps glide automatically into place for easy entry. Inside, the cabin feels vast and luxurious. The first and second rows come with standard bucket seating, with bench seating available for the second row to accommodate an 8th passenger. Other standard features include four-zone automatic climate control, generous amounts of leather and open-pore wooden accents, and a gigantic tri-pane panoramic sunroof that offers stunning views to everyone on board.
What Are the Grand Wagoneer's New Features?
Aside from its accommodating and ultra-comfortable seating, the star of the Grand Wagoneer’s interior is its wide array of technological features. The central console features the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a massive 12-inch touchscreen. The Uconnect 5 comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as Amazon Alexa integration. There is also a new Passenger Interactive Display available which adds a second touchscreen on the front passenger’s side of the dashboard. From there, the passenger can control navigation, entertainment, and music, while the driver keeps their eyes on the road. Speaking of music, a new industry-exclusive McIntosh audio system is available to the Grand Wagoneer, featuring 23 speakers and 3D Surround System technology for a crystal-clear and professional-sounding listening experience. These are just a few examples of the many exciting tech features of the 2022 Grand Wagoneer.
Can The 2022 Grand Wagoneer Handle Off-Roading?
The Grand Wagoneer maintains its composure and elegance without compromising on strength where it counts! The Grand Wagoneer is the most luxurious SUV Jeep has to offer. However, it still has the heart of a Jeep, meaning it is first and foremost a robust and athletic vehicle with impressive off-roading capabilities. The Grand Wagoneer is powered by a 6.4-liter V-8 engine which offers a hefty 471 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque. That power contributes to the Grand Wagoneer’s best-in-class towing capability of up to 10,000 lbs. It also handles superbly well in a multitude of environments thanks to its electronically-controlled suspension system, as well as Jeep’s signature Quadra-Trac and Quadra-Drive 4X4 systems. It also features a 10-inch ground clearance and water fording capability in up to 24 inches.
