What are the engine options for the 2022 Ram 1500?
The Ram 1500 comes standard with the awarded 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. For the maximum hauling ability or 12,560 pounds, the 3.0L V6 turbodiesel offers a whopping 480 lb-ft of torque and 260 horsepower. The 5.7L V8 engine is available to all trim levels while standard on the Limited trim. The available 5.7L V8 with eTorque uses mild-hybrid technology with a 48-volt battery pack to boost fuel economy and torque response. Lastly, the monstrous TRX comes with a hellish 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that rips out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque for a blazing top speed of 118 MPH. All four engines are mated to a smooth-shifting TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission that powers the rear wheels. As always, all Ram 1500 trim levels are eligible for 4x4 for optimal on and off-road abilities.
What's new for the 2022 Ram 1500?
The 2022 Ram 1500 has many new features as well as a total of six all-new special editions. First, the brand new Uconnect 5 system is standard on the Big Horn trim level every one that follows. Uconnect 5 features advanced technologies like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, five user profiles, Amazon Alexa with home-to-car functions, a customizable home screen, operating speeds up to four times faster, and much more. The five user profiles can memorize things like driver's seat position, mirror position, music preferences, screen layout, and much more. The valet mode will default all settings and lock the touchscreen so no personal information can be accessed. Also new is a trailer hitch light that makes linking up a trailer a breeze, even in the dark! Additionally, Ram designed a new cabin air filtration system that removes 95% of contaminants such as dust, smoke, droplets, and aerosols, providing cabin air that's cleaner than ever. The all-new special editions include the Limited (RED), Longhorn SouthFork, BackCountry, Laramie and Rebel GT, Limited 10th Anniversary, and TRX Ignition. Each offers distinctive features that set it apart from the rest of the lineup.

The entry-level Tradesman trim offers standard features like 18-inch alloy wheels, active grille shutters, trailer-sway control, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, keyless entry, and more.
