What are the Hornet's New Engine Options?
As we mentioned above, the 2023 Dodge Hornet is really demonstrating its innovation when it comes to powertrain options. There are two all-new engines joining the Dodge family, one for the R/T, and the other for the GT. No matter which trim level you choose, you'll be treated to one of these new and innovative engines, both of which work to make your Dodge more fuel-efficient. Starting with the R/T, you'll find a new plug-in hybrid powertrain that features a 15.5-kWh battery to help power the vehicle. This powertrain can carry the Hornet up to 30 miles on a single charge, letting you enjoy emissions-free range for those shorter trips. The hybrid powertrain delivers up to 285 horsepower, and 383 lb-ft of torque. Next, the GT features another new engine, the 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane inline-4. This engine also offers enhanced fuel efficiency, as well as 265 horsepower, and 295 lb-ft of torque.
What are the Design Features of the 2023 Dodge Hornet?
As we mentioned above, the 2023 Dodge Hornet can be described as a compact utility vehicle, or CUV. This means that it's more robust than a sedan, and a bit larger than the Charger, but still more compact than an SUV, and smaller than the Durango. However, the Hornet still includes many of the classic Dodge features you know and love, offering bold color options, racing stripes, and a mail-slot front grille opening complete with the Dodge logo above it. Both the GT and R/T trims offer a 10.25-inch digital cluster display with Performance Pages, as well as black upholstery with sporty red accent stitching. You can also opt for available features like Alcantara suede interior, and bold red seatbelts. The Hornet offers an available Track Pack package, with aluminum accents and 20-inch wheels, as well as a Blacktop package with sleek black accents.
What Performance Features does the Dodge Hornet Have?
Just like all Dodge models, the highlight of the 2023 Dodge Hornet is its incredible performance features! You can enjoy features that enhance both the appearance and performance of the Hornet, including Brembo high-performance brakes, complete with the iconic red brake calipers, dual exhaust tips, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel accompanied by paddle shifters for that authentic racing feel. There's also an available PowerShot button, which will instantly kick out a boost of horsepower, so you can get the ultimate thrill as you charge ahead on the open road! Lastly, the R/T offers three different drive modes to accompany its hybrid powertrain. This means you can choose whether you'd like to use your gas power, the battery power, or both simultaneously!
