What Engine does the Grand Cherokee Utilize?
For the 2022 model year, you’ll have three potential engine options available depending on which Grand Cherokee you choose! One major update for this model year is that the sporty and athletic Trailhawk trim is now only available as a plug-in hybrid. That means that when you choose the Trailhawk, or any of the other Grand Cherokee 4xe trims, you’ll receive the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, and a 400-volt battery pack, delivering an all-electric range of up to 25 miles! For the traditional gas-powered Grand Cherokees, you’ll still have the two robust engine options we’ve seen in previous years, the 3.6-liter V6, and the 5.7-liter V8. All three of these engines pair with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the 2023 Grand Cherokee can tow a maximum of 7,200 pounds, and it also offers 4-wheel drive on each and every trim level! The Trailhawk brings you off-road features like tow hooks, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and much more!
What are the New Design Features for 2023?
The Jeep Grand Cherokee offers many of the same great features you know and love from previous years, which means you can continue to enjoy the Grand Cherokee for the 2023 model year! However, there are also some subtle changes to the design that work to enhance your overall driving experience. First of all, the hood is now slightly more sloped, resulting in better aerodynamics, and there’s also a wider front grille with active grille shutters, and large windows from every angle, allowing tons of natural light to enter the cabin. Plus, the track has been increased in width by 1.4 inches, which results in improved handling, making the Grand Cherokee feel more agile while you’re behind the wheel. As we mentioned above, you can choose whether you’d like a two-row of three-row layout, which will seat up to five or up to seven passengers, respectively. Inside, you’ll find available features like Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and ambient interior LED lighting with five different color options.
What Tech Features does the 2023 Grand Cherokee Have?
The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes equipped with tons of exciting tech and safety features, with even more gadgets available to add onto upper trims. Starting with some of the standard features, all of the 2023 Grand Cherokee models come standard with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, and a standard 8.4-inch, or available 10.1-inch touchscreen. You can also opt for the available front-passenger display, which will add a second touchscreen specifically for the front passenger’s use. For the rear passengers, you can find available rear-seat entertainment screens, which come with Amazon Fire TV built-in, so that your passengers can stay entertained on long car rides with their favorite movies and TV shows. Some of the other tech features available for the 2023 Grand Cherokee include a wireless smartphone charger, a Head-Up Display, and a premium 19-speaker sound system from McIntosh!
