This grant will help cover the cost of transitioning into an Electric Vehicle. The good news is the maximum household income levels eligible for a rebate are lower. Battery electric cars and trucks qualify for a $2,000 rebate. For example, a family of two with a household income of $69,000 is eligible for a $2,000 rebate for a battery electric vehicle. A family of two is eligible for a $3,000 rebate for a battery electric vehicle. Plus, plug-in hybrid cars qualify for a $1,500 rebate.
Federal Tax Credit
The federal government will pay you to buy a PHEV or an EV. In addition, the federal government offers EV drivers and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles a $7,500 Federal Tax Credit. Code Section 30D of the IRS provides an income tax credit of $7,500 for purchasing or leasing a Jeep Wrangler 4xe or Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe.

Most EV and PHEV drivers charge their electric cars overnight at home and wake up to a full charge.
