What is the Jeep Badge of Honor Program?
The Jeep Badge of Honor program is a fun and rewarding way for Jeep owners to explore the outdoors and get recognized for their off-road adventures. Using the free Badge of Honor app, you can find official Jeep-designated trails across the country, including here in Pennsylvania, each with trail maps, difficulty ratings, and photos shared by fellow Jeep enthusiasts. When you check in at a trail through the app and complete it, Jeep will send you a physical badge to display proudly on your vehicle. It's a great way to track your progress, share your experiences, and become part of a passionate off-road community. Plus, the more trails you conquer and the more active you are in the app, the more points you earn, unlocking new status levels along the way. Whether you're new to off-roading or already a trail veteran, the Badge of Honor program adds a whole new layer of excitement to every Jeep adventure.
Jeep Badge of Honor Trails in Pennsylvania
If you're looking to earn some Jeep Badge of Honor recognition without leaving Pennsylvania, you're in luck! There are five official trails scattered across the state that offer everything from scenic drives to hardcore rock crawling. At the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA), you'll find two newer additions: Fern Ridge Trail #121 and Barney Rubble Blue Trail #49. Fern Ridge mixes in tight sections, rocky climbs, and some seriously technical spots, while Barney Rubble brings the boulders, with routes that can go from moderate to extreme depending on how you enter. Over at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park, near Harrisburg, you'll find three more trails: Trail #11, a good starting point with easier terrain; Crawler Ridge, a muddy, rocky challenge; and Crawl Daddy, which lives up to its name with tough, technical obstacles for experienced off-roaders. Whether you're just starting your Badge of Honor journey or chasing your next big challenge, Pennsylvania offers some incredible places to put your Jeep to the test.
How to Prepare to Earn a Jeep Badge of Honor
Before heading out to earn your next Jeep Badge of Honor, it's smart to make sure your vehicle is trail-ready. Start by checking your tires, as good tread and proper inflation are essential, especially when navigating rocks or deep mud. If you're planning to hit more challenging trails, consider upgrades like all-terrain tires, skid plates, or enhanced suspension for added protection and performance. It's also a good idea to bring along basic recovery gear, such as a tow strap, shovel, and jack, just in case. And don't overlook safety. Pack plenty of water, a first aid kit, and a way to communicate if cell service is spotty. At Three Rivers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, we're always happy to help local drivers get trail-ready, whether it's through expert advice or routine service. With the right prep, your next off-road adventure can be both fun and worry-free.
