Safety Technologies of the Wagoneer

Presented by Three Rivers

For fans of the Wagoneer, the wait is finally over! The Wagoneer takes the original design and updates it for the modern generation while still keeping the 4x4 capability, exceptional driving dynamics, and powerful performance that Jeep vehicles are famous for. Inside the cabin is where the Wagoneer continues to shine as the seats are covered in Nappa leather, and there is some incredible technology such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As you can see, the Wagoneer looks great, is powerful, and gives you advanced technology, but what about the safety features? In this article, we will focus on the amazing safety systems and features that the Wagoneer provides!

High-Tech Safety

There are over 120 safety features available for the Wagoneer, including many different innovations that will define the relationship between the driver and the road. Among these are Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Active Lane Management, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, Rear park assist sensors with stop and a switch-activated electric park brake. The Wagoneer arrives on the scene with a deft combination of class-leading safety features that enhance the driver's field of vision while also helping to make instrumentation easier so they can avoid collisions better.

Active Driving Assist

This is the Wagoneers name for Level 2 automated driving capability. This innovative technology is a giant step forward in Jeep's march toward an autonomous future. The Active Driving Assist is a hands-on-wheel and eyes-on-road automated driving which uses lane-centering combines with the adaptive cruise control system. The system also uses numerous sensors, including different radars and cameras that dictate the appropriate roads for this amazing technology!

Night Vision with Pedestrian and Animal Detection

This system uses thermographic technology that augments and reaches the Wagoneer's headlamps. The infrared search for heat signatures of different pedestrians and animals that are in the road ahead of you. This innovative system scans up to 219 yards ahead of you. When things are located, their positions relative to the vehicle are then outlined in the instrument cluster located directly in front of the driver.

Drowsy Driver Detection

The Drowsy Driver Detection System tracks the Wagoneer's movement, including lane deviation and interaction, to detect steering input over time that could result from driving while drowsy. When different thresholds are reached, the system will respond with audio and visual cues and then caution the driver to pull the Wagoneer over. If the driver fails to react in certain situations, the system will intervene with steering wheel input and brake activation.

Surround View Camera and LED Lighting

The Surround View Camera provides drivers with a 360-degree, birds-eye view of your Wagoneer and the surroundings that are further enhanced by dynamic gridlines displayed on the touchscreen. This system comes with front and rear lens washers, which are enhanced by Front Park Assist, which helps the driver position the vehicle how they like it. The Wagoneer comes with a full suite of LED lighting that includes LED headlamps that provide you with a balanced beam of light that will minimize the glare of oncoming traffic while also doubling the output of light in front of the Wagoneer to further illuminates the road ahead. The side lighting also improves visibility while cornering.
