Service Schedule for your Ram Truck

Service Schedule for your Ram Truck

Ram trucks remain one of America’s most popular trucks. These heavy-duty pickups are one of the top-selling models. Buyers appreciate all the powerful engine choices, superior ride, attractive cabin, and user-friendly infotainment system. It was a significant investment when you bought your truck, and you surely want to keep it protected and running at peak performance. Ram has a set maintenance schedule that is guaranteed to keep running for years. Here’s an overview of your Ram’s scheduled maintenance service visits.

Ram 8,000 Mile Service

When your Ram truck reaches the 8,000-mile mark, it’s time to take it in for its first scheduled maintenance visit. The service technicians at Three Rivers will change your truck’s oil and oil filter. Changing the oil is one of the most important maintenance services you can do for your vehicle. It keeps your truck’s engine running efficiently and protects it from wear. During an oil change, the technicians flush out the dirty oil and replace it with clean oil. They will also rotate the tires and check the fluid levels. These services are repeated during each service visit.

Ram 16,000 Mile Service

In addition to the services of the 8,000-mile visit, the service technicians will inspect your truck’s brakes, tie rods, air filter, battery, CV Joints, and front suspension. They’ll adjust or replace any parts as necessary. If you use your truck for towing or take it off-road, it is recommended to have your suspension inspected every visit.

Ram 24,000 Mile Service

At this maintenance, replacing the engine air filter and the cabin air filter is recommended. However, the cabin air filter is commonly overlooked. Its job is to eliminate the contaminants pumped into the cabin when the fans are running. Over time, these filters can get clogged with dirt and other debris. When the cabin air filter is dirty, you will start to breathe in all that dirty that it could not trap. Your Three Rivers service technicians will also inspect the axles, transfer cases, U-joints, CV joints, and oil change and tire rotation.

Ram 30,000 Mile Service

Every 30,000 miles, you’ll want to have the front and rear axles inspected. If you suspect a gear oil leakage, check the fluid level. Also, make sure to replace the engine air filter and inspect the CV/Universal joints.

Ram 60,000 Mile Service

In addition to completing your 20,000-mile and 30,000-mile visits, there are a few more maintenance items you’ll want to do at 60,000 miles. The Three Rivers service technicians will inspect your truck’s filters, engine coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid and replace them as needed. As well as check the transfer case fluid. If you use your truck for towing or take it off-road, it is recommended that you have your fluids changed at this time.
